Cpl Healthcare are delighted to announce that they are seeking applications for a Person in Charge (Service Manager) in Galway. This role is within a well established organisation which provides a wide range of high-quality community-based services for people with an intellectual disability throughout Galway City and County. These services include day, residential, short breaks/ respite, supported self-directed living (SSDL) programmes, community support, rehabilitative training, and multi-disciplinary supports.
The post holder will report directly to the Assistant Director of Operational Supports & Services. The PIC will ensure that the group home/ respite service is run in accordance to the organisations strategic plan providing a home from home for the service users.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working closely with the Assistant Director of Operational Supports & Services in planning and implementing the effective delivery of services
- Manage and monitor annual budgets
- Ensure that the residential and/or residential respite centre under their remit comply with legislative and regulatory requirements i.e. S.I.367, HIQA National Standards etc.

Role Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care
- The post holder will require a qualification in Social Studies or a relevant qualification
- A relevant management qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience in managing a residential service
- Experience of report writing, personal support plans, people and roster management
- Access to transport and full driving licence
