My client is a well-established Public Sector company seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a multifunctional role in a busy office which requires previous experience in a similar role. This is an exciting opportunity which will allow the successful applicant to join a well-established public sector company, located in Cork City.
Duties:
· Complete and Record Pension Registration, Termination and Refund Forms for all staff
· Provide cover for the processing of the Fortnightly Payroll
· Advise staff on Pension Benefits and deal with General Salary queries
· Create Payroll / Superannuation Files and ensure that all Superannuation records are kept up to date.
· Complete Salary Confirmation Forms / Letters for staff
· Creation of Hardcopy Payroll Employee files. Filing of hardcopy payroll records to include Filing of changes / updates to employee's hardcopy Payroll files e.g., Flexible Working Time, Parental Leave etc.
· Complete Estimate of Benefit applications to sign-off stage by Superannuation Officer.
· There is a responsibility on all staff to participate in internal and external audits and review as appropriate.
· To comply and be familiar with all policies and procedures and in particular those relating to safety, health and Welfare, Infection Control, Hygiene, Risk Management and Decontamination.
· To participate in internal and external audits and review as appropriate.
· Any other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned from time to time by the Chief Executive
Requirements:
· A third level qualification of at least degree standard.
· Have at least 2 years satisfactory experience as a Clerical Officer.
· Have excellent organisational, administration and secretarial skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
· Possess good IT Skills and have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have experience/ability to work within a team environment
· Have a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative and have an aptitude for figures
· Hold a recognised Secretarial/Office Administration qualification
· Have knowledge of Payroll/Superannuation Systems/Departments
