On behalf of our client, a global pharmaceutical company, we are currently recruiting for a Medical Advisor. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days a week in the South Dublin office. Permanent, full-time role.
Purpose
The purpose of this non-promotional role is to provide medical and scientific information and
support as well as regulatory and training support for internal and external customers for assigned therapeutic areas in line with all relevant guidelines and
regulations.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
· Provide therapy area and product training for sales & marketing staff.
· Provide scientific backup and advice for the company’s sales & marketing activities
· Provide medical information to healthcare professionals and answer product queries on assigned therapeutic areas.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant product safety, regulatory affairs, vigilance and pharmacovigilance requirements.
· Gather and communicate medical insights to inform clinical development and strategic planning.
· Act as the primary scientific contact for KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), specialist physicians, and centres of excellence.
· Develop and maintain own professional expertise and keep up to date on therapeutic trends related to assigned therapeutic areas
· Keep abreast of all relevant industry regulation, legislation and ethics codes and ensure that all activities are in compliance with same.
Candidate Requirements
· Pharmacy or Biology background (MsC, Pharm D or PhD level)
· Highly organised and detail oriented
· Excellent communication and problem solving skills
· 2 years’ relevant experience in a Medical Affairs role in the pharmaceutical industry
· Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity.
· Effective communicator with ability to tailor messages to the applicable audience
· Strategic thinker with an understanding of the healthcare system and patient access
· Ability to build relationships with KOLs and HCPs
Skills & Competencies
- Strong scientific expertise with ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking skills with KOLs and HCPs.
- Effective communicator – both written and verbal – able to tailor messages to clinical and non-clinical audiences.
- Strategic thinker, with understanding of patient access, regulatory, and healthcare system challenges
- High integrity and compliance-driven mindset.
Location & Travel
- Dublin based hybrid role
- Occasional international travel for congresses, investigator meetings, and training.
