Key Responsibilities
· Manage transmission grid infrastructure projects through the public planning process to achieve planning consent.
· Deliver redevelopment and new build projects for high voltage assets, including substations and overhead lines.
· Work alongside landowner engagement teams to secure consents for infrastructure works.
· Take ownership of project delivery from pre-capital approval through to completion and energisation.
· Produce high-quality internal reports, papers, and presentations to support project approvals and reviews.
· Coordinate a wide range of activities across internal teams and external consultants (engineering, environmental, communications, procurement, etc.).
· Maintain strong project controls including budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.
· Identify and manage risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and escalating when required.
· Manage internal and external stakeholder interfaces, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
Essential Criteria
· Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Planning, Environmental Studies, or equivalent.
· Strong communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
· Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
· Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Flexible, proactive approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
· Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
