Position: Senior HR Manager
Reports to: COO and Group Head of People
80,000 – 95,000 negotiable plus benefits
OBJECTIVE: To Support and grow Corporate owned offices.
The Senior HR Manager role is responsible for the execution of the Group People Strategy, leading all people initiatives to support the organisation to be known as an employer of choice. This role is responsible for the operational implementation of effective people management framework including policies and processes that are aligned across the group. A key objective of this role is to provide high quality, responsive support, development, and coaching to the network and national office. This role will work with the Group People Team ensuring consistency and alignment.
National Office Support
Provide advice to the COO and collaborate on organisational development, change management, trends, and issues for leading best human resources practice across the organisation.
Manage the National Office People functions including but not limited to, employee performance reviews, annual salary reviews, succession planning, resourcing, recruitment, engagement, employee issues, Workplace Health & Safety, and legislative requirements.
Liaise with the COO on a quarterly basis to review people resources across the national office team, in particular internal succession planning and development opportunities.
Manage all National Office recruitment including internal and external recruitment, ensuring the process is aligned with our employer brand and consistent for both internal and external candidates. Providing a seamless experience from recruitment to onboarding.
Guide and support the leaders with onboarding their new national office employees.
Develop engaging Onboarding Schedules, combining online training and exposure to key stakeholders - first day, first 30 day, first 90 days
Identify leadership development needs to support the growth and performance across National Office and the Corporate Offices working closely with leaders to coach and support them.
Manage all HR processes and policies ensuring they are current and in line with current legislation update and educate on changes.
Deliver leadership training programs in conjunction with the business to the network leaders in order to develop and enhance their skills.
Work closely with the Group People Team and Lead to ensure country alignment and resource efficiency.
Network People Support
Provide support to the network on all HR Support, people development, onboarding and engagement, attraction and recruitment and HR resources and tools.
Provide insights and recommendations to the COO on industry trends and changes impacting the network.
Provide reporting and recommendations on people data to help drive new initiatives CAREGiver (CG) & Key Player (KP) numbers, attraction sources (ROI), CG & KP hired per month (conversion), CG & KP Termination per Month (reason for leaving).
Develop and maintain the CG & KP sourcing, attraction, and selection strategy in conjunction with the Marketing Team and Group People Strategy.
Work closely with the group people team to develop the attraction campaigns for both CG and KP roles.
Provide leadership, guidance, and training in respect to responding to workforce and planning needs in the external market and internal succession planning.
Oversee Live In recruitment and international recruitment strategy.
Retention and Engagement – Network and National Office
Develop and maintain the CG & KP retention strategy in conjunction with the Academy & Marketing Team and Group People Strategy.
Coordinate and implement the employee lifecycle surveys, annual experience survey, pulse survey, onboarding and exit surveys for our people.
Coordinate and implement the annual client experience survey.
Lead education and awareness across the network on career and personal development, recognition, award programs, wellness, and retention.
Review existing Recruitment practices and procedures, find gaps in current practice and look to see where improvements can be made and efficiencies can be developed.
Learning and Development
Work in conjunction with the Home Instead Academy in relation to the execution of the learning strategy including setting goals and executing the programs of work.
Provide guidance to the Learning and Development function to develop high quality learning programs.
Ensure all learning and development is strategically linked to operational business needs, business objectives, core purpose and values.
Further develop the role of the Care Management resource in the Home Instead network to mentor/ coach in certain areas related to HR.
Actively participate as a team member to support the achievement of our organisational goals and strategies.
Always provide a high standard of customer service to all stakeholders.
Actively commit to and perform work in accordance with our quality management system and standards whilst proactively identifying areas for continuous improvement.
Be personally responsible for understanding and adhering to all Home Instead’s policies and procedures including taking reasonable care to ensure your actions and omissions do not impact the health and safety of others.
Perform all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary to ensure that quality care services are consistently provided to all clients.
Degree level qualifications in Human Resources or in a related discipline.
A successful and proven record as a senior HR leader in a multi-disciplinary role.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and implement a broad range of contemporary HR and organisational development strategies, programs, policies, and operational practices to successfully support the strategic objectives of the business.
A proven track record in either working as an executive or directly supporting the executive on people and culture strategies.
Previous experience in managing change and the delivery of change management initiatives across the whole organisation.
Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize daily, monthly, and yearly work.
Ability to travel on certain occasions as the business requires.
