My client, a Roscommon based accountancy practice, seeks to hire a new practice manager due to expansion. You will be a fully qualified accountant with 5 years’ experience in a practice setting, where you will lead a team of 6 staff members. You will be a specialist in accounts preparation and tax, comfortable with client liaison responsibilities and overall management duties. This role will report to the managing director. This is a permanent role with a healthy blend of office/remote working available.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Statutory accounts preparation under Irish accounting standards
- Supervising and reviewing monthly management accounts
- Cultivating client relationships, communication and administration including billing
- Promoting new business and growing the Irish clientele
- Planning workflow for the team, ensuring quality, accuracy and that timeframes are met
- Preparing (but mainly reviewing) year-end accounts, management accounts and VAT returns
- Recruitment for the Practice
- Annual appraisals and monthly performance reviews with the team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CPA - Essential
- 5 years accountancy practice experience – Essential
- 3 years people management experience - Essential
- Experienced working to Irish accounting standards, GAAP and IFRS
- Commercially astute with excellent communication and presentation skills to build client portfolio
