My client a well-established company based outside of the City is seeking an Account’s Assistant to join their growing team. This role is on an initial 4 month basis. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Financial Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Balance debtors/creditors listing each month.
- Responsible for VAT returns and year end accounts.
- Investigate all discrepancies with invoice totals and work within the company to balance all accounts.
- Ensure payroll is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Process supplier payments.
- Monthly bank/visa reconciliation and analysis of accounts and variances.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and correspondence for internal or external review.
- Contribute to and/or complete special projects as assigned.
Skills:
- 3-5 years’ experience working as an Accounts Assistant.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting /Diploma preferred.
- Strong communications skills, over the phone and via email.
- Accounting Technician qualification is an advantage but not essential.
- IT Literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Part ACCA qualified, or plan on doing ACCA exams is desirable.
