Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Drive additional revenue into the sales territory through existing retail and merchant customer base and with the introduction of new customers
- Ensure all brands are presented in a proper manner through our trading partners
- Development of sales through existing and future product categories that are offered by the business.
- Keeping accurate records on CRM system including call plan, weekly calls, POS questionnaires and other relevant data.
- Ensure customer call targets are maintained.
- Build healthy and professional relationship with other distribution partners in sales territory.
- Manage brand penetration within sales territory.
- Be aware of and report new market trends.
- Recognizing the importance of brand presentation through POS materials within customer outlets.
- Be proactive about solving problems.
- Be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Dual calls with both business prospects and complaint inspections when required.
- Submit monthly area report.
- Provide ongoing and dedicated product training sessions to customers.
- Attend National and Regional Sales Meetings.
- Build healthy and professional relationship with internal departments eg Customer Service, Credit Control, Marketing etc
- Assist internal departments with queries when required.
- Attend exhibitions, road shows, training sessions when requested etc (this could involve weekend work).
- Provide monthly completion of fuel log, company credit card expenditure and personal expenses.
- Develop customer use of the company’s digital platforms.
Criteria
- Previous experience with external/field sales
- The ability to understand customers’ needs and work with customers who may have high demands
- The ability to work in a team as well as individually
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Strong IT skills
- Have experience in using CRM system
- Have a proactive approach to work and look to embrace our clients values
