Responsibilities:
The Automation Engineer is responsible for execution of all project related requirements including but not limited to the following:
• Define automation scope of supply and develops all required specifications
• Estimates automaton hardware, software and manpower requirements and is responsible for full project execution
• Programs PLC and HMI to project specifications
• Executes quality management plan in accordance to clients standard procedures
• Responsible for writing Functional Requirement Specifications and Detailed Design Specifications
• Develop a plan and execute Software Factory Acceptance Test
• Assist with customer Factory Acceptance Test
• Support on-site commissioning, start up and Site Acceptance Testing
• Provide technical support to customers, Client sales and marketing
• Support and assist customer field service requirements
• Travel as needed
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor degree in engineering in any of the following faculties i.e. Applied Physics and Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years’ experience utilizing DCS,PLC, HMI and Server/Client system architecture including work experience with DeltaV, Rockwell or Siemens Systems.
• Ability to read and apply P&ID’s control strategies
• Familiarity with S88 standards for Batch process Automation design
• Must have a solid understanding of computer networking and server applications
Preferred Experience:
• Understanding and familiarity with GAMP5 and/or Annex 11 preferred
• Bio-Pharm or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
• Familiarity with OEM work process and business model
