Current projects:
Telit/Simcom mobile radio modules and Raspberry Pi
We want to add a mobile radio module(3G/4G) to a new product line.
Currently we use a PIC32 on our high end products, but we would consider using a more powerful ARM chip to interface with the radio module.
Perhaps we could use a raspberry pi (CM4 module) and interface it with the radio module.
We take the free over the air data of the operators in the area and display some of this information on a small LCD display (5”).
Here is a similar product.
Experience of digging into spec sheets, understanding how to interface and control various chips for our purposes.
Management of the existing C projects on our repeater line.
Our main product (i-repeater) has a PIC32 with ethernet (RJ45)
We use the 12channel ADC on this pic to read power from the frequency bands, and display the data on the LCD panel.
We also use UART/SPI/I2C plus functions on this chip.
This project needs to be understood and managed.
New Broadcom chip
We need to be able to interface with a new Broadcom channel stacker module.
The module has an ARK microcontroller on it which we will program to set the registers on the module.
To program the ARK, we will use the Synopsys DesignWare ARC MetaWare Development Toolkit.
