Cpl Healthcare is seeking applications for the role of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 for a busy Urgent Cardiac Care Unit in a Dublin city private hospital.
The service provides a walk-in urgent cardiac care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for patients experiencing chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness. Patients receive immediate phone triage by a cardiology nurse specialist, prompt and comprehensive assessment on arrival, rapid access to non-invasive cardiology services, immediate Cath Lab access if required and same-day cardiologist consultant evaluation.
Reporting to the Divisional Nurse Manager, the successful candidate will lead by example as an expert practitioner providing quality patient care and leadership in the management of the unit. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support, assist and facilitate colleagues in achieving specific critical success factors as developed for the Ward/Unit/Department, encouraging a culture of openness and participation through effective communication.
To be considered for the role the following criteria apply:
- Be on the live general nurse register with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (adaptation is not an option)
- Have undertaken formal recognised post registration education relevant to the specialist practice at higher diploma level or equivalent.
- Have at least five years post-registration experience two of which must be in critical care nursing
- Up to date knowledge in clinical practice and management of day case patients.
- Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills
- Must demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development to degree level or willing to undertake same
- Have a recognised Knowledge of issues relating to nurse education and development
- Ability to develop policies and protocols in conjunction with other members of the team
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
