CPL are currently recruiting for a new full time, permanent company accountant opportunity for a locally owned leading agricultural group who continue to grow and develop within a variety of different markets across the sector.

The Role;
• Take full responsibility for the end-to-end financial management of the business
• Assist in the development and delivery of the business strategy
• Maintain appropriate accounting records
• Ensure internal financial controls are sufficient and implemented
• Preparation of year end statutory accounts and manage the year-end annual audit process
• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Preparation of the annual budget and regular profit forecasts
• Review cost performance against budget for all departments
• Preparing and submit VAT returns
• Manage all IT and business systems in the finance department and use these to drive business improvement.
Skills & Experience required;
• Ideally have 3 years’ experience in a similar role in an industrial/retail environment
• Previous experience managing a finance team
• Excellent understanding of accounting processes, reporting abilities and the need for tight controls
• Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan personal workload and adhere to strict reporting deadlines
• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Experience of accounting for acquisitions would be an advantage.
