An exciting opportunity for a contracts and compliance manager has become available at a business focused on improving healthcare communications and market access. The company in question operate out of 15 offices across 6 different countries and employ over 700 people. Specifically focusing on oncology, rare diseases and specialised machines, the company works with 90% of the worlds top 40 pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies and is looking for a blossoming lawyer to join their legal team.
Responsibilities
• Assisting the Legal & Compliance team in setting up and maintaining compliance process and procedures including governance and risk processes.
• Maintaining and drafting mandatory compliance policies including tracking of adherence and training
• Supporting the contracting process with clients and third parties, negotiating, reviewing and amending of client and supplier contracts in accordance with guidelines in a timely fashion
• Support compliance checking processes in relation to Anti-Bribery and Corruption processes
• Supporting privacy compliance and process including reviewing Data Privacy Impact Assessments and data flows and rights requests.
• Ensuring that all contracts under review are properly and accurately tracked to enable client and colleagues to ascertain the progress of each contract in the review process at all times
• Communicating legal and compliance issues in contracts or associated documents with other departments
• Drafting and keeping up to date template contracts to conform to applicable law and commercial requirements
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Legal & Compliance team or management as are deemed appropriate
• Occasional may be travel required from time to time
Requirements
• Educated to degree level
• Passed Legal Practice Course (LPC) (OR law degree with prior contract management experience) – essential or an ICA (International Compliance Association) qualifications or similar
• Have sound compliance and legal knowledge ideally in a pharma/healthcare or legal firm environment
• Have the confidence to draft and review basic contract terms independently
• High Level of IT Proficiency
• Excellent written & spoken English
