Deskside Support Engineer
3 - 6 month contract
Key responsibilities:
. To ensure client receive relevant support to ensure maximum efficiency
. Backup/Restore - would have specific responsibility in ensuring backup/restore facilities are maintained across the organisation.
. • Would ensure that antivirus and encryption software is maintained and updated on all desktops.
• Provide 2nd level technical support to end users on all Systems.
• Ensure the logical resolution of systems problems referring those of a more complex nature to more senior systems staff or external support as appropriate.
• Ensure adequate stock levels of consumables are maintained and relevant procedures are followed.
• Participate in ‘on-call’ rotation.
• Build and roll out new desktops where required.
Minimum qualifications, experience & skills
• Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science or other qualifications, but we will also accept candidates with relevant work experience and a technical qualification such as MCSA/MCSE/A+/CompTia.
• Experience in Active Directory, group policy, structure cabling, Antivirus software, encryption, basic PC maintenance, telephone support (esp. Avaya Telephony, Verint WFO and RMG Wallboards), backup/restore (esp. Commvault) and Desktop management.
