Environmental Officer
Our client, a state organisation, is seeking to recruit 4 x Environmental Specialists in a number of locations to include; Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Mayo to deliver a Professional Environmental Management Support Service to a number of their health facilities.
Responsibilities:
Support Green/Sustainability Teams and assist in running local waste contracts from National Frameworks
Implementation of the Environmental Protection Agency’s National Hazardous Waste Management Plan
Liaise with and work closely with the Energy Officers and Estates Managers
Oversight and management staff “User Education” and “Waste Awareness Programmes”
Establish and embed waste management best practices into the culture and day-to-day activities
Ensure that all reporting & assessment requirements are met on time and in full.
Develop and execute on strategies and annual plans to deliver continuous improvement in Environmental performance.
Other duties as required by the EHS Manager or Site Leadership Team
Essential criteria
Level 8 Degree (or Higher) in Environmental Services (or equivalent qualification)
High standard of technical training and experience
Waste or Energy background experience
Hold a full clean drive license
