My client, a well-known international formwork company, seeks to hire a new Formwork Sales Engineer. This will suit someone already based in Ireland, with prior experience selling formwork into the construction sector. My client is also open to someone coming from a formwork design engineering background, who is looking to transition to a target-oriented role. The successful candidate can be based anywhere in Ireland. You’ll be provided with a company car and fuel card. You’ll be expected to travel to their client’s site, wherever that may be across Ireland. This is a permanent role, reporting to the Managing Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage business (customer, projects, turnover, discount) within a defined area, segment &/or on a specified project
- To maintain and build new customer trading relationships to grow market share in Ireland
- Develop a high level of understanding of products, competitors and the formwork & scaffolding markets, especially within your area of responsibility.
- Identify and target new customers - Continuous prospecting to expand market reach.
- Develop, maintain and grow turnovers from existing customers
- Develop and maintain a project pipeline for your area of responsibility
- Work closely with customers to manage queries and complaints
- Work closely with the Managing Director to deliver annual sales targets.
- Work closely with customers and in collaboration with the Finance Dept. to manage debt.
- Negotiate trading agreements and discount levels with our customers
- Implement and drive New product market penetration strategies
- Operate within the company financial guidelines
- Work closely with the Managing Director to ensure the most cost effective and profitable solutions are given to the customer.
- Build relationships with customers by earning their trust though continuous delivery of a top-quality service.
- Develop relationships with technical staff and customers to promote efficient use of products.
- Continuous collaboration with colleagues throughout the business to ensure best results for all stakeholders.
- To effectively and accurately report ongoing business activity through internal meetings, presentations and CRM.
- To support the development of junior staff.
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualification in a construction related discipline - Desirable
- Professional experience in the construction sector - Essential
- Experience in selling within the Construction Industry – Desirable
- Experience in Formwork, Falsework and Scaffolding solutions - Desirable
- Good communication, social and organisational skills
- Objective-orientated
- Strong work ethic, open and reliable
