Our client is seeking to fill a Grade VII Financial Accountant role within their office based in Lacken Kilkenny. The duration of the role is initially for one year and the individual will work alongside the current Grade VIII Accountant. Responsibilities
· Annual Financial Statements Process (Dec Year End) working on information requests all year round, with a ramp up in activity from November, right through until March of the following year
Month End Process including
· Journal preparation
· Balance Sheet Ledger balances reconciliations
· Patient Income reconciliation
· Secondment invoicing
· Payroll file generation and upload to Ledger
· Balancing of Bank to Ledger
· Other Analytical work (eg. Aged Analysis/Reconciliation of various Reports to GL)
· Cash-flow requirements (weekly requirements sent a week in advance) to HSE Corporate treasury
· Preparation/Updating SOP’s
· Freedom of Information requests
· Additional tasks as outlined by Grade VIII Accountant
· Any other tasks as directed by Grade VIII Accountant/Regional General Manager.
Competencies
· The successful candidate should have strong skills in Microsoft Excel (Proficiency in working with pivot tables, v lookup and general preparation of formulised spread-sheets)
· They should also be comfortable working on their own initiative, and/or as part of a team.
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to create efficiencies in current processes
· Proactive in resolving issues with a can do attitude
· Part Qualified/Qualified individual
