My client, a well-established manufacturing/engineering organisation (approx. 250 employees) has an exciting opportunity for a HR Generalist to join their HR team in Blarney.
You will take ownership on Recruitment, HRIS, ER, HR Metrics/reporting and Compensations & Benefits. You will also support the HR Manager with ER, Training, Performance Management, Policy Implementation and Employment Law Compliance.
This is a new role and details are as follows:
- Salary €50-55,000 depending on experience plus healthcare, 25 days annual leave
- Opportunity to work on improving processes and procedures and work on training/development initiatives
- This is an office/site based role
- Mon-Thurs 08 – 5:30 and Friday is a 5 hour shift.
Working alongside the HR Manager, key responsibilities include:
- Participates in and coordinates the full recruitment life cycle of recruitment
- Lead on all Employee Relations issues for hourly workforce
- Lead HR representative to ensure adequate training on corporate policies are offered.
- Facilitates and maintain company HRIS system to enhance HR programs and offerings
- Facilitates employee training within the HRIS system when necessary and maintains employee information, within the system and on manual listings and trackers.
- Manages and reports to the HR Manager on key HR metrics and on tracking mechanisms for example: staff lists, shift changes, site vacation reports and performance review compliance
- Inputs and maintains records of payroll instructions. Liaise with internal and external payroll administration, Finance and employees to ensure accurate payroll and benefits offerings, and resolve queries, monitor timesheet input by supervisors
- Works with the Manager to identify and implement retention strategies, including recognition programs, growth and promotional opportunities
- Lead for preparing HR starter packs for new hires, providing new hire orientation training as required and filing records of same.
- Supports HR Manager to manage exit programs, including, voluntary exits, involuntary exits etc.
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Participates in the design, modification, and implementation of the Company’s performance program
- Participates in analysis and design of compensation strategies
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
- Maintain compliance with employment and benefits laws and regulations
The successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; plus at least 3 + years of experience in an HR Generalist role with emphasis on ER issues, investigations and absence management
- Human Resources certification(s)/qualification
- High level ability to create presentations, charts, graphs and spreadsheets
- Ability to exercise good judgment and strong decision-making capability in a variety of situations
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and work to tight deadlines
- Motivated, enthusiastic and able to work autonomously
