A leading Law firm based in Dublin City Centre, is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role is ideal for an experience Legal Secretary within the Commercial Litigation Area of a Law Firm who is looking to join a leading firm where their skills and abilities will be recognized and developed internally.
This will be a hybrid position, located in Dublin 2.
Responsibilities - will include but are not limited to the following:
• Produce quality work fast and efficiently
• Document Management System - open new files and maintain existing files
• Prepare booklets for court for counsel and for experts
• Prepare and draft bills of costs for clients, narratives, capture outlay
Following up with third parties for their invoices - counsel, expert witnesses etc.
• Draft and redraft documentation
Filing and general administrative support, including archiving
• Liaise with the team on a proactive basis- managing and organizing diaries as required; communicating any problems which may arise and suggesting solutions to overcome them where suitable
• Organize all aspects of board meetings as required
• Take telephone messages and manage client relationships
• Stationery Supplies - ordering and upkeep of supplies for department.
• Risk Management - comply with all of the Firm's policies & procedures; support Firm-wide risk management initiatives. Adhere to the file review and closure process and ensure all open and in-active matters are reviewed and closed as appropriate.
• Staff may be requested to carry out other additional tasks as may occur from time to time.
Requirements
Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate:
• Good standard of Leaving Certificate, with a recognized secretarial or business administration course.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a secretary in the Commercial Litigation Area of a Law Firm.
• Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook skills
• Professional manner and approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a busy team
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills
• Maintain confidentiality internally and externally
