An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support the performance and reliability of production equipment within a high-volume medical manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring equipment operates efficiently while meeting quality, safety, and output targets.
The successful candidate will work as part of a site-based engineering team, carrying out maintenance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain production equipment to maximise quality, output, and yield
· Troubleshoot production line issues using root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
· Carry out preventative maintenance activities
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues
· Complete all documentation in line with GDP (Good Documentation Practice) standards
· Support and drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
· Assist with commissioning and validation of new production equipment
· Maintain appropriate stock levels of spare parts
· Support training and development of fellow technicians
· Participate in occasional travel for training, site visits, or equipment assessments
· Ensure compliance with quality standards and health & safety regulations
Requirements
· NFQ Level 6 qualification in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar) or relevant trade qualification with industrial experience
· Strong mechanical and technical skillset
· Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
· Knowledge of automation, robotics, and PLC systems
· Experience within a regulated/GMP environment
· Flexibility to work shift patterns
