Medical Director, France
The Director Medical Affairs will be contributing to the development and the execution of a European Medical affairs strategy for the successful commercial launch of over the next 1-3yrs. The Director Medical Affairs will contribute to the overall strategic direction, and collaborate with Commercial, Market Access, Policy, Pricing and local key market teams. The role will support key business objectives for countries in the European region. The incumbent will develop Medical affairs plans, SL and scientific societies engagement plans and contribute to commercial launch plan strategies across all channels.

• Oversee the development of medical affairs activities for key regional and country stakeholders to prepare and conduct stakeholder engagement and contribute to access negotiations and successful launches across key countries focusing on
Partnerships with KOL and scientific societies in Europe including scientific congress/conference strategy and planning, regional and local advisory boards.
Increased awareness of the study through data generation and CME initiatives primarily in the top 5 European Countries
Working closely with colleagues in the organization to build and implement optimal medical affairs plans that are aligned and consistent across Europe
Develop, communicate and ensure the effective regional/ local implementation of Medical affairs plans to ensure its pricing, reimbursement HTA and access targets are met in countries across Europe.
Collaborate with access colleagues and external partners in the development of real-world evidence and economic models and/or analyses in order to contribute to health economics and epidemiology analyses and dossier
Design, develop and manage appropriate systems and processes necessary to help meet the needs of medical affairs functions across Europe.
Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise of scientific societies, hospitals and centers of excellence across the region to build and maintain a solid understanding of external dynamics and trends in guidelines, medical practice and science.
Contribute to the selection of appropriate agency/consulting services and coordinate their efforts to support the market access and launch success
Minimum of 10 years of medical affairs experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry across EU specifically EU5;
Previous Biotech or pharmaceutical product launch experience required; Cardio-Metabolic medical affairs experience is preferred. (Diabetes, Cardiovascular, Hypertension, Lipids)
Extensive experience with European scientific societies, SL interactions and CME activities
Knowledge and ability to build epidemiologic and RWE studies in collaboration with external partners and internal colleagues
Solid knowledge of pertinent regulatory compliance regulations and requirements.
Knowledge of healthcare systems and reimbursement methods, including health technology assessments of major European countries is highly desirable
Must have and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Has strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, result oriented and is a team player and produces results.
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related programs.

MD degree, with medical practice experience or in a Cholesterol/metabolism Research Clinic as part of academic training
