Position: Microbiologist
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £17.48 per hour
Employment type: Temporary until June
There are currently 2 roles available on an initial temporary contract until June, due to an increase in workload on site, with a view to being extended. You will form a key member of QC supporting timely product release. This role will require you to work on a shift basis.
Role:
•Performing QC Microbiological tests on in-process, intermediate and finished vaccine products
•Perform Bioburden, LAL, EM (Environmental Monitoring) and TVC to support site microbiology activities
•Ensure all laboratory testing and generated results are to cGMP standard
•Be involved in OOS/OOT investigations in the GLIMS system
•Review and update site SOP’s where necessary and closure of CAPA’s
•Help with troubleshooting of microbiological testing
•Be involved in technical and validation studies
Requirements:
•Experience in cGMP environment
•BSc (or equivalent) in Microbiology or related subject
•Industrial experience on pharmaceutical microbiological testing
•Knowledge of continuous improvement and root cause analysis
