Occupational Therapist x4 – Community Mental Health – CHO7 (Dublin)
Occupational Therapist x4, basic grade required by Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, for a new opportunity based in the CHO7 area of Dublin.
Dublin West and South West Mental Health Services covers a catchment population of 250,000. It consists of four community sectors, a rehabilitation service, a psychiatry of later life team and a psychiatric liaison service. There are 18 Occupational Therapist working within the service, dispersed throughout the sector areas.
Job responsibilities:
· Be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and review of treatment / intervention programmes for service users according to service standards.
· Manage own caseload in accordance with the needs of the post.
· Collaborate with service users, family, carers and other staff in treatment / intervention planning and in the provision of support and advice.
· Attend clinics, review meetings, team meetings, case conferences, ward rounds etc. as designated by Senior Occupational Therapist / Occupational Therapist Manager.
· Contribute to the planning and development of the Occupational Therapy Service and participate in service improvements.
The Candidate:
· A recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist with CORU registration
· Previous employment experience and / or undergraduate placement in a mental health setting preferable
· Good knowledge of the mental health act
· Permission to work in Ireland
· Professional approach to work
