The Procurement/Purchasing Manager will be part of a team who help & support each other to carry out our duties and ensure a vibrant & successful culture is established.
Roles & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be the Head of the Procurement/Purchasing Department and will responsible for all aspects of purchasing including:
• Raise purchase orders. This includes the negotiation with manufacturers & suppliers on price and terms including locking in a price for duration of Project’s where possible
• To maintain record of pricing documents.
• Review the current market prices to ensure best price is being achieved.
• To build relationships with manufacturers & suppliers including arranging face to face meetings to achieve best results in procuring the best product at the most competitive price.
• Liase with the company’s Quantity Surveying and Finance functions on costs.
• To identify areas for process improvement within the purchasing function and implement these.
• To set up new contracts in EQUE2 (purchasing system) including the inputting of a Project BoQ’s and coding each material items to ensure easy & accessible reporting for monthly CVR’s etc.
• To manage the ordering of materials & plant for company projects keeping within the material budget compiled at the beginning of each Project.
• To compile monthly reports for the company’s Quantity Surveyor.
• To manage project site teams ensuring that material & plant procurement & purchasing is done in a disciplined manner.

Requirements
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in working within the residential/commercial sectors of the Irish Construction Industry.
• Must have CIPS/CPSM/CSCP Diploma in Purchasing & Procurement.
• To have good knowledge of all building products from civil infrastructure to roofing and everything in between.
• Strong understanding of purchasing and cost systems is essential.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Flexibility with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to adapt, multitask and work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
