The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for the overall Quality of the product portfolio, including the creation and maintenance of documentation related to quality assurance processes and procedures. They will ensure that the solutions developed by the teams meet the business's needs and align with industry and company best practices and standards while establishing a culture of continuous improvement in quality assurance, quality delivery and thought leadership. They will also be responsible for partnering with the other D&ITS SMRs and potential 3rd party vendors to maintain awareness on industry trends and leading practices that may result in improving current processes and solutions. In addition, they will closely support and advise the Product Quality & Strategy Director in critical Quality decisions and discussions.
This is a hybrid position, 3 days working from the office based in our Dublin 2 offices.
What you will do:
• Work closely with the Testing teams to ensure the product is validated against approved acceptance criteria and meets the exit criteria before moving into the next testing phase.
• Review non-functional test acceptance criteria and validate depth of test case scenarios.
• Assess business readiness based on the approved business readiness criteria.
• Participate in service delivery meetings (weekly/monthly) to review performance, program progress, issues/resolution and service improvement plans.
• Be responsible for monitoring and advocating for efficiencies via test automation.
• Develop and implement long-term quality assurance plans and strategies.
• Set quality assurance goals and objectives (including testing and product QA).
• Oversee the development and implementation of testing and validation processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as product development, engineering, business enablement, etc.) to provide business input where needed. Partner with Technical Design Lead and RunOps to help close testing and production defects.
• Review the outcome of RCA (root cause analysis) to ensure all business components were taken into consideration and are included in the plan to prevent major defects from happening again are in place.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of quality assurance efforts and any issues that need to be addressed.
• Work with peers, customers and other relevant key stakeholders to understand their quality needs and expectations.
• Be responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation related to quality assurance processes and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Quality, or Engineering discipline, coupled with 5+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Strong understanding and experience in the software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience with partnering with UX to deliver on the end user experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think creatively.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to define high-level application, relationships, flows, implementation of business processes and activities.
• Knowledge of industry-standard design patterns and best practices.
• Understanding of software scalability, maintainability, and other relevant factors.
• Significant QA experience in ensuring functionality and error detection within the product.
• An understanding of the software testing phases and corresponding reporting metrics.
• Willingness to travel to other WBA locations if required (minimal).
Have experience in:
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, including executive level.
• Diagnosing, isolating and resolving complex issues while recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
• Non-functional testing acceptance criteria and analysing product QA reports.
• Experience OR understanding of Retail Pharmacy or a pharmaceutical environment; with knowledge of US FDA Guidelines and Pharmacy Regulations.
• Agile development methodologies.
• Change request management and technical risk mitigation.
• Contributing to documentation of best practices and facilitating knowledge transfer.
• Presenting solutions to stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
