- Bachelors Degree in Analytical Science / Chemistry
- 5 Years relevant industrial experience is an advantage
- Familiarity with HPLC, GC and other analytical instrumentation is essential
- LIMS/Empower experience
- Good computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver projects on target.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
Principle Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Management of laboratory equipment
- Qualification/Validation of new laboratory equipment/software
- Coordination of laboratory equipment calibration program
- Technical Support (Instrumentation and Analysis) for QC Chemist group.
- Maintenance & troubleshooting of existing laboratory equipment
- LIMS / Empower key user providing technical support to QC and other departments
- Lead continuous improvement projects such as 6S and lean processes for the laboratory:
- Assisting in investigations and root cause analysis and drive the investigation as required
- Recommend modifications, improvements or work simplification to laboratory processes etc as appropriate.
- Maintain / Develop systems in the Technical Specialist Role
- Management of Annual raw material testing program / product review presentation
- Maintain a constant awareness of safety as it relates to Laboratory areas and participate in safety program as required.
- Perform all work under CGMP guidelines.
- Other project work as determined by Quality Manager and / or Quality Supervisor
- Delegation of Quality Supervisor’s duties in their absence or as assigned.
- Ensure that EHS roles and responsibilities are complied with as per the requirements of the site Safety Statement & EHS Management System.
