Regulatory Reporting Accountant
The Regulatory Reporting Accountant is responsible for delivering high quality financial
information within the scope of CIB Finance, for all legal vehicles under remit, ensuring that
technical aspects are duly observed and complied with regards to data quality, reporting
structures and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Support testing and implementation of software applications supporting regulatory
reporting.
- Coordinate and collaborate on projects related to regulatory reporting, as
instructed by the Head of Local Regulatory Reporting.
- Maintain a log on matters arising during the monthly financial
reporting process and undertake the implementation of their solutions in a timely
manner. Participate in the performance and ongoing enhancements to the daily
financial accounting control environment
- Recommend and seek to implement procedures and processes that improve the
overall performance of the Area.
- Design, implement and maintain communication forums with the Head of Local
Regulatory Reporting to inform the compliance with regulatory reporting,
identification of risks and opportunities to enhance the control environment
surrounding the production of regulatory reports.
- Maintain, in coordination with The Projects and Systems Team and under the strict
supervision of the Head of Local Regulatory Reporting, a detailed systems incident
report ensuring follow-up on the data quality deliverables, as instructed by the
Head of Local Regulatory Reporting
- Participate in activities proper of the academic and experiential background of the

of its immediate Manager and/or the Head of Local Regulatory Reporting
Finance Projects & Systems: Within the scope of responsibilities, support the Head of
Local Regulatory Reporting in rolling out of the New Systems, Change of Organizational
setup, maintenance, and enhancement of Finance systems, etc. in strict liaison with the
Regional Finance Projects & Systems Team.
Procedures & Controls: Ensure that the Area’s procedures and controls are up to date
and current
Supports the Head of Local Regulatory Reporting in maintaining contact with
external authorities and stakeholders
- In charge of correct reporting to the local National or Central Bank, or other
regulatory/government bodies
- Maintains regulatory watch of matters of potential impact on local finance
- Interactions with auditors, in coordination with the Head of Local Regulatory
Reporting, within the scope of its responsibilities.
Ideally, some regulatory reporting experience would be beneficial in a Financial Services organization
Requirement:
• Successful candidate will be a qualified accountant.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Must be numerically accurate with excellent attention to detail, and strong Excel skills.
• Confident self-starter with the ability to be proactive and work on own initiative. Comfortable working to deadlines.
• Ability to understand and interpret regulations, and regulatory guidance and apply such in a practical manner in an operational environment.
Educational background:
- University degree in finance & accounting, economics, or comparable background
- Part-qualified accountant
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in finance
- Professional proficiency in English is mandatory.
Essential specific requirements
- Compliance with the Central Bank regulatory requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, IFRS,
Irish GAAP, regulations, and reporting specificities.
- Understanding of Corporate Banking product knowledge, products, services and
their profitability
- Understanding financial and operational risk control requirements to ensure that
financial reporting systems in place are compliant and continuously monitored
- Ability to learn new systems, agile reporting tools, and products quickly
