Responsibilities:
Organizing and weighing raw ingredients
Heating confections according to recipe specifications
Using molds to create confection shapes and textures
Upholding workplace to food safety standards
Working with a team to meet quantity expectations
Packaging confections
Assisting with special projects such as holiday gift baskets
Providing feedback on new products or recipe improvements
Preparing, maintaining, and cleaning all equipment
Applying icings and glazes to confections
Monitoring baking and cooking processes
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience making candy or chocolate
General knowledge of food safety
Strong attention to detail
Steady hands
Basic math skills
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 25 lb
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Culinary degree (with confection/pastry speciality) or equivalent
Formal culinary certification or awards
Experience working with industrial-grade kitchen equipment
