Job Scope:
The Electronics Test Engineer is responsible for the System & Subsystem electronic design verification activities associated with the development of complex software controlled electromechanical medical devices. Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the testing of design inputs, writing test cases and executing as evidence of design outputs and working with the design engineer to accelerate the design cycle in meeting device requirements. Experience with mechanical systems gas and pneumatic testing is a plus.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements:
• Develop and write test cases from design input to objective evidence / Design output
• Plans, develops, and conducts tests on electronic components, medical device subsystems and systems, applying knowledge and principles of electronic theory, testing methodology and procedures, and electronic engineering.
• May develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems.
• 5 years plus experience in design & test development of electrical and/or mechanical medical devices.
• Support Design Reviews with a focus on Requirements definition and verification activities.
• Support risk management activities, including FMEA’s, to ensure robust and reliable designs
• Responsible for developing and performing verification strategies, plans and execution activities to clearly defined acceptance criteria.
• Reviews engineering specifications and schematics and proposing design modifications to improve system design.
• Strong understanding of medical device regulations including ISO, FDA GMP and design controls.
• Ability to document test cases/protocols that facilitate ease of understanding and execution by others
• Ability to track progress and provided status updates on an as needed basis
