Location: Milton Keynes
As we move into 2021, the testing of Covid-19 samples remains of paramount importance. Due to this, we are currently recruiting for highly analytical individuals with a thorough knowledge of laboratory processes to help deliver this service. This role is based in Milton Keynes within a laboratory solely focused on the testing of Covid-19 samples.
Key responsibilities:
- To lead the design and implementation of Bioinformatics Systems
- To provide support to the end users and to the LIMS Developer
- To provide data for and attend data quality meetings
- To be responsible for the Informatics Data Scientists
- To evaluate solutions and technologies to determine suitability
- To manage relationships with various departments
- Experience in programming languages (ideally SQL)
- Knowledge of laboratory information management system (LIMS) platforms
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience working with complex data sets
- Line management experience
