Senior Occupational Health Nurse
Contract length: 18 months
Rate: £26.42 per hour (inside IR35)
Location: Leamington Spa

Are you currently looking for a new opportunity within occupational health? Well, one of our clients is currently looking for a Senior Occupational Health Nurse to join their team, working within a new COVID DHSC testing facility. The successful candidate will work with senior leadership to help establish policies and procedures within occupational health programmes and help maintain medical records. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management, great interpersonal skills, and effective communication.
Responsibilities:
· Work with senior leadership to develop, implement and manage occupational health programmes, establishing policies and procedures
· Conduct new starter health assessments
· Maintain medical records
· Maintain confidentiality of employee health information and occupational health notes
· Assess, manage, and undertake health surveillance and health assessments
· Work with the H&S team to develop appropriate risk assessments
· Support H&S and line managers in assessing the level of risk and determining first aid requirements
· Develop, conduct, and manage physical and mental health promotion
· Support Line Managers & HR with case management of sickness absence, including long term sickness and work-related injuries/illnesses.
· Generate written reports to management.
· Liaise with GP’s, physiotherapists, or specialists where required.
Requirements:
· A degree in Nursing and appropriate qualifications to practice in the UK.
· Occupational Health Nursing Qualification
o Minimum diploma level experience
o Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience together with a minimum of 2 years Occupational Health Nursing experience.
· Previous experience working as an Occupational Health Worker in a medium/large company.
