The Role
My client leads a team of IT Security Network Engineers. This team are responsible for supporting the underlying network and security infrastructure that all other high level cyber security teams utilise. There are 7 Engineers currently working on the team all reporting directly into the IT Security Engineering Manager. Each Engineer is given responsibility for a number of key security projects to be delivered throughout 2020. The role is broken down roughly into 70% project work and 30% security and network operational work. The role will suit a strong security and network engineer with a good solid knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, BGP. You would have experience of installation and configuration of firewalls, endpoint security, DLP or any other combination of security infrastructure.
The Experience Required
As a Security Engineer your skills and qualifications will include:
- 5+ years’ experience working in a global IT environment in a systems integration or deployment & engineering role.
- Intermediate to Advanced security technology experience
- Network Security and Endpoint Security Skills
- Project management skills and ability to manage information security project delivery
- Experience with working across business unit and geographical boundaries to engage team members required
- Proven ability to deliver projects & strong communication skills
- Ability to work with external vendors and service providers
- Strong understanding of technologies outside of security is required
