Cpl Healthcare are currently seeking qualified Social Care professionals for positions supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting. The ideal candidate with have a strong ability to provide a high-quality service which will enable service users to live independently within their community, while also supporting other staff to do the same.
Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred care to individuals in the service through the development and implementation of person- centred care plans, ensuring service user’s needs are met.
- Ensuring the health and safety of each service user- supporting both the physical and emotional well-being, ensuring they are aware of their rights and that they are treated with respect and dignity.
- Supporting and promoting the service user’s independence, social and communication skills, ensuring they are involved in decision making processes.
- Supporting service users to develop key life skills such as budgeting, shopping, domestic chores, etc
- Work well as part of a team, taking part in induction, mentoring and on-going training, supporting other team members, assisting with volunteers and promoting this within the service, recognising, and reporting and malpractice within the team and representing the team, as required.
- Report Writing and documentation.
- Following safe-guarding and risk assessment procedures.
- Working in line with HIQA and National Standards guidelines and assisting in inspections as required.
- Minimum level 7 in social care
- Minimum 6 months experience in healthcare setting, ideally working in ID sector
- Full, clean driving licence
- Good IT skills
