Solicitor- Commercial & Renewable Group
The successful candidate will join a fast-paced environment and gain exposure to an exciting range of work. Duties will include:
- Advising clients in relation to the development and financing of renewable energy projects in Ireland (e.g. onshore and offshore wind farms, solar farms);
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements relating to renewable energy projects such as Power Purchase Agreements and Corporate Power Purchase Agreements, Turbine Supply Agreements, Operation and Maintenance Agreements, Professional Services Contracts, Consultancy Agreements and Construction Contracts;
- Carrying out legal due diligence of commercial and property agreements in respect of renewable energy projects on behalf of both developers and funders of such projects;
- Drafting and negotiating Option Agreements in respect of property required to construct and operate renewable energy projects e.g. Option for Lease Agreements and Option for Grant of Easement Agreements;
- Reviewing and investigating title in respect of properties required to construct and operate renewable energy projects;
- Advising our renewable energy clients in respect of the regulatory framework applicable to renewable energy projects in Ireland
- 2+ years' experience in a relevant field;
- A strong commercial focus and business acumen;
- Ability to foster trusted relationships with our clients;
- Strong understanding of the property registration authority requirements on registration of title;
- Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail;
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- Team player with strong communication skills and ambitions to progress their career;
- An excellent work ethic with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and approach to work.
