Specialist Software Engineer
My client, a leading global technology company based in Galway seeks to hire a Specialist level Engineer to join a new R&D team focused on Cloud native development. This role will involve delivering a large cloud solution, using a scalable agile framework, continuous integration, continuous delivery and ground up test automation whilst working with a team of architects to define, refine, lead, architect and implement software solutions. As an Specialist level Engineer, you will be part of a development team implementing a zero trust security architecture across the clients Edge to Cloud platform. Specifically, the focus will be on building out advanced security solutions on the platform in the areas of authorization, hardware attestation, secrets management and authentication. The client is ideally looking for somebody that has experience with any public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, IaC, Golang and more but they are also open to considering talented engineers from a variety of backgrounds.

Requirements:
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
- Working knowledge of cloud native development
- 4+ years experience as a software developer
- System thinking skills
- Working experience with CI/CD, open source cloud development tools
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Willingness to work with teams across time zones
- An ability to consistently harness targeted value from your team
Advantageous but not essential:
- Implemented a complex IT solution on a native cloud environment using agile processes
