Speech and Language Therapist – children’s disabilities service, Naas, Co. Kildare

Speech and Language Therapist required for a locum role with community-based disability service working with clients with wide variety of complex needs due to disability / developmental delay age 6-18 yrs, based in community healthcare clinic, Drogheda, Co. Louth

This is a full time role and will mainly consist of clinic / office based work mainly via tele-conference and video calls due to C19 restrictions, however, there may be some face to face assessments as the Therapist would be carrying out assessments including seating and environmental assessment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Working in partnership with multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the delivery of a Speech and Language Therapy service to a population of  6 - 18 year olds with a range of complex needs / disabilities and their families.
• Provide clinical supervision and some line management duties to basic grade SLT staff within the service.

The Candidate:
• A recognised qualification as an Speech and Language Therapist and CORU registration
• Ideally some post graduate experience as a speech and language therapist in a disability setting  working with children and young people with complex needs
• A full drivers licence and access to a car is desirable
• Permission to work in Ireland
• Professional approach to work
• Flexibility in work practice
