Due to the successful expansion of vertical markets in our US office, CPL Life Sciences UK are looking to further enhance our US team, with a specific focus in the function of Regulatory Affairs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is business development focused, motivated and driven, with career aspirations of moving Boston, USA in the coming 6 to 9 months.
Reporting to the Divisional Director, Kirsty Calow in the UK and working alongside a high performing team, the main purpose of the role is to focus on achieving a profitable US recruitment desk. You will be expected to achieve a consistent focus and delivery of key drivers of the business, identify business opportunities and the best candidates available in the market and ensure maximum control of candidates by building exceptional business relationships.
Main responsibilities:
Candidate Cycle/Candidate Management:
- Urgent and driven candidate life cycle management from registration/screening and ownership to ensure successful placement of candidate at a live job or speculative approach to client
- Proficient and in line with Standard and Business Operating Procedures you will be expected to correctly utilise Job Science. our internal database to ensure candidates are maintained, tracked and contacted each week
- Through regular communication with your candidates, you will gain leads, (i.e. Interview leads, CV leads, Peer References etc.) to follow up on a generate further business.
- KPI’s to include 5 CVs to jobs per week, 50 candidates connect calls per week and 10 BD calls per week. These are minimum requirements and should be routinely exceeded
Client Cycle/Business Development:
- You will be allocated a database of clients and Key Accounts to establish your own client relationships within your vertical market with the expectation you make regular contact calls to establish the business opportunities
- You will identify new leads to chase/gain jobs from competitor analysis, websites, networking, referrals and from leveraging better client relationships
- Through developing client relationships via evaluation tools, it is expected you will book and attend client meetings (face to face or via on-line platforms), to sell business services and to negotiate terms of business and fees.
- Make professionals, informed and interesting presentations to clients regarding your own division and the overall business
- You will be expected to achieve all Business Development KPI’s weekly and monthly to ensure a well-managed client database that maximizes the profitability of your desk (this includes face to face meetings)
Experience, Skills and Competencies
- Experience
- Significant relevant recruitment experience of at least 3 years, essentially in a 360 Degree Consultant role and demonstrable expertise in building a particular market/sector specialism, preferably Life Sciences or related sector
- Successful demonstration of expected leadership competencies
- Successful track record of recruiting talented professional personnel
- Successful track record of developing new business and growing existing business
