Our client, a lead electricity company, is seeking to recruit a Development Project Manager to manage to successful conclusion a selection of the renewable energy projects assigned from initial concept to the point of handing over of the project to an Asset Management Manager. This role’s primary focus will be on project management, due diligence, in wind, battery and solar PV projects in Ireland.
The role:
Manage all project matters relating to the development of any renewable energy projects including land, planning, project procurement & construction management.
Support the team members on identification of projects and assessment of opportunities.
Perform due diligence on projects including co-ordination of DD team on those projects to form a risk assessment and report on all project risks.
To lead on projects in the execution of the development plan.
Support management on preparation of necessary reporting and governance processes.
Ownership of and managing the development of a project within budget from any stage to get it to a ready to build state.
Manage the tendering/procurement processes for projects and ensure financial and technical targets are met in delivering projects.
Suitably plan, organise, monitor and report on all phases of projects life cycle.
Negotiate agreements including consultancy contracts, landowner agreements, and provide input to commercial decisions, ensuring best value is achieved in all such negotiations.
Alignment of project decisions to the efforts of Power Marketing, and specifically in response to changing energy policy.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, represent the company and ensure all corporate policies are fully adhered.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical)Minimum 5 years experience of developing renewable projects in Ireland.
Good understanding of key value drivers and development process.
Experience in due diligence and project management resource assessment, land agreements, planning and grid connections.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have good commercial acumen.
Experience in both commercial and technical appraisal of renewable projects would be advantageous.
Have effective business-winning client relationship skills.
Fixed term role based in Dublin with some travel nationwide required. Remuneration package will reflect the qualifications, experience, and fit of the candidate.
