Finance Business Partner - 1 Year FTC
My client, a county Galway based medical device manufacturing business, seeks to hire a new Finance Business Partner due to exceptional growth. You will be a fully qualified accountant Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE. As a key member of the financial team, you will report to the Financial Controller and supervise a small team. You will have a background in business process transformation along with the ability to integrate financial processes that can support the financial activities and includes migration to a new SAP system. This is a 12-month FTC initially with a view to extension/permanency, with a hybrid working approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery of timely and accurate financial information for the department
- Lead the operational aspects of the department
- Supervision of members of the finance team
- Cross-functional working with Customer Operations, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering and HR teams
- Lead the annual stock count with Supply Chain
- Provide financial leadership for operational initiatives
- Develop robust forecast and financial models
- ROI and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Lead and co-ordinate auditors' inquiries during interim and at the year-end auditing time
- IT point of contact, liaising with local IT specialist and IT Corporate Group
- Supporting FC with other ad hoc tasks and projects
- Business Process Transformation
- Lead the implementation of the Finance Module, working closely with the consultants, the Corporate IT Team, and the financial and operations accountant in the department.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in existing processes
- Develop process flows that eliminate the pain points in the current process
- Lead the development and implementation of the standard cost accounting functionality
- Develop the cost and profit centre accounting within the finance module
- Lead the smooth transition of current AP and AR functions to central corporate location
- Develop new robust tailored financial and commercial reporting around the new SAP.
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Minimum of 2 years people management
- Preferably experience in a similar role in a manufacturing organisation
- Experience in business process transformation
- Experience in process flow and implementation of financial processes and models
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
- Strong quantitative abilities
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Advanced computer software skills
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships
- Ability to communicate with senior management in finance and operations
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude
- High level of commercial acumen
