Overview
On behalf of my client, I am hiring a Team Lead – API Sales to drive revenue growth and accelerate enterprise adoption of advanced AI platform APIs.
This is a high-impact leadership role combining:
- Commercial sales leadership
- Structured pipeline governance
- Consultative enterprise selling
- Operational discipline and KPI management
You will lead a team of API sellers across SMB and Enterprise segments, ensuring consistent execution across revenue, activity, quality, and forecast accuracy metrics.
This role suits a structured, performance-driven SaaS leader with strong technical fluency and experience managing high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Performance
- Lead, coach, and performance-manage a team of API sellers
- Own team-level quota attainment, pipeline coverage, and forecast accuracy
- Establish clear daily, weekly, and monthly performance expectations
- Drive structured inspection cadence (pipeline reviews, call coaching, QA reviews)
- Support onboarding and ramp programs aligned to performance standards
- Pipeline & Revenue Execution
- Drive disciplined qualification using structured methodologies (MEDDICC, BANT)
- Enforce SLA responsiveness standards and outreach productivity benchmarks
- Maintain rigorous Salesforce hygiene and reporting accuracy
- Ensure consistent revenue delivery and quota attainment
- Strategic Deal Leadership
- Act as executive sponsor on complex API opportunities
- Guide commercial structuring and pricing strategy
- Partner closely with Solutions Engineering to align AI capabilities with business outcomes
- Governance & Compliance
- Uphold QA scorecard standards across calls and documentation
- Drive CRM discipline and audit readiness
- Maintain structured reporting and forecasting accuracy
Experience Required
- 4+ years B2B technology sales experience
- Minimum 2+ years in a people leadership role
- Proven quota attainment track record
- Mandatory SaaS / AI / technology sales experience
- Strong Salesforce expertise
- Experience with sales engagement tools
- Strong understanding of APIs, platform architecture, or developer ecosystems
- English C1 minimum
