Business Systems Solutions Specialist (SharePoint Specialist)

Overview:
Our client is seeking a Business Systems Solutions Specialist to lead the administration and support of internal IT systems, with a key focus on SharePoint. This role involves managing collaboration platforms, supporting business units, and driving efficiency through automation and integration. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a hands-on approach to system performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and configure SharePoint environments including sites, libraries, workflows, and landing pages.
- Implement and maintain user roles, data security policies, and compliance protocols.
- Partner with teams to understand requirements and deliver document management and workflow solutions. Integrate SharePoint with other systems.
- Act as point-of-contact for system issues, working with vendors and internal users to resolve problems.
- Create user guides, deliver training sessions, and maintain clear documentation for systems and processes.
- Monitor performance, manage upgrades, and ensure data retention, backup, and recovery processes are in place.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial or public sector IT role.
- Technical or IT-related third-level qualification.
- Strong experience in SharePoint administration.
- Knowledge of document management systems and IT process alignment.
- Solid understanding of Information Security best practices.
- Comfortable working with cloud-based systems and IT vendors.
- Proven multitasking and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- SharePoint Administration certification.
- Experience with SharePoint migrations, Power Automate, or PowerShell scripting.
