Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant’s key responsibilities will be ensuring the company complies with its Irish corporate tax compliance and VAT obligations including:
- Corporate tax and VAT computations and returns
- Managing the payment of tax liabilities
- Tax authority audits
- Month end tax accruals including substantiation of tax balances
- Tax provisioning for statutory accounts
- Liaising with the overseas Tax team in relation to quarterly reporting packs, foreign tax credits and forecast of taxable profits
- Reviewing and enhancing procedures and controls to ensure the correct filing of taxes
- Working closely with the wider Tax team to deal with day-to-day tax queries
- Analysing Irish tax implications of group reorganisations, acquisitions and disposals
- Advising on the impact of new tax legislation in Ireland
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- A qualified professional with a recognised accounting and/or tax qualification
- A self-motivated team player who is able to prioritise, manage competing demands and work to demanding deadlines
- A strong knowledge of the Irish corporate tax and VAT regimes and strong tax accounting skills
- An individual focused on operating within and enhancing the existing tax risk and control framework
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Excellent research, analytical and reasoning skills
