Counsellor Therapist-Social inclusion service, South Dublin
Counsellor Therapist required for community based social inclusion service in South Dublin.
The Social Inclusion service provides care for a wide range of groups within the population, including Traveller community, Roma community, International protection Applicants, Beneficiaries of Temporary protection, Gay Men’s Health service users/ Women’s Health service users (prostitution support) /Trafficking Human Beings / Homeless and other cohorts under the remit of the service.
The Social Inclusion team is expanding and an opportunity for a locum Counsellor Therapist exists to contribute to this dynamic and innovative team 2 days per week.
Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria
An applicant must possess;
1. A recognised Level 7 qualification or higher (QQI) in a relevant human science discipline (medical, psychological, social, educational) or equivalent in a health and social care profession or health related profession.
Plus either 2a and 2b or 2c and 2d as follows:
2. (a) Hold a degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognised by one of the following as appropriate: Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) / British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or a relevant body within the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP).
2. (b) Have full accredited membership with one of the following: IACP/BACP or a relevant body within ICP.
or
2. (c) Hold a post-graduate qualification in counselling psychology or clinical psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI)
2. (d) Have full accredited membership with the Counselling or Clinical Psychology Division of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
