Cpl Healthcare are delighted to partner with our client in the recruitment of a Deputy Manager for a new residential service for Separated Children Seeking International Protection (SCSIP) based in Offaly.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to join a dedicated team providing safe, supportive, and child-centred care for young people in need of protection and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Registered Manager in establishing and running the new service.
• Lead, supervise, and support a team of residential care staff to ensure best practice in all aspects of care.
• Ensure the emotional, social, and educational needs of each child are met in line with their individual care plans.
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and culturally sensitive environment in compliance with HIQA standards and child protection policies.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the service and staff through training, reflection, and professional growth.
Requirements
• A relevant qualification in Social Care, Youth Work, or a related discipline (minimum Level 7).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in residential childcare or with vulnerable young people.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Understanding of HIQA regulations, child protection, and safeguarding procedures.
• Experience supporting children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
