Our client, a rapidly scaling business, is seeking an exceptional European Commercial Director to lead their commercial growth across Ireland, the UK, and strategically into European markets. This is a pivotal leadership role for a results-driven professional from the Plastics or Distribution industry, with a proven ability to inspire, manage, and develop diverse teams while driving business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial operations across Ireland, the UK, and new European territories.
- Drive profitable growth, market share, and customer expansion.
- Act as a senior account leader, building strong relationships with high-level clients.
- Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Achieve annual profitability, efficiency, and quality targets.
- Shape and implement both short-term and long-term strategic plans for European growth.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA or Master’s degree, ideally with an academic background in plastics, polymers, science, engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years’ industry experience, including at least 5 years in a senior people-leadership role.
- Proven track record in team leadership, business development, and market expansion.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and commercial acumen.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar) and CRM platforms is preferred.
