Event Project Manager- 1 year FTC with possible extension
CPL Marketing are partnering with an Events agency to recruit an Event Project Manager for a 1-year contract, with potential to extend. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organisational skills, strong client management capabilities, and a proven ability to deliver complex events from concept to completion.
Day to Day:
• Develop comprehensive project roadmaps, including critical paths, milestones, and contingency planning.
• Lead the planning and execution of conferences and meetings from initial brief through to post-event evaluation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors, fostering accountability and excellence.
• Manage complex budgets, oversee contract negotiations, ensure insurance compliance, and complete post-event financial reconciliation.
• Oversee on-site delivery to ensure seamless execution aligned with the project plan.
• Conduct post-event debriefs, analysing KPIs and ROI to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage all aspects of client relationship management, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term partnership growth.
• Provide strategic counsel and creative solutions to enhance client outcomes and overall experience.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high-quality execution, on-time delivery, and alignment with client objectives
• Work closely with marketing, creative, operations, and senior leadership teams.
Requirements:
• 7+ years’ experience in conference, meeting, or event project management roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong client-facing and relationship management skills.
• Third-level qualification in Business, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Proven experience managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and liaising with suppliers.
• Strong understanding of event technologies and hybrid delivery models.
• A proactive problem-solver with flexibility and a solutions-focused mindset
