Field Sales & BD Manager

About the Role
Our company is a long-standing, family-operated building supplies provider, supporting both trade professionals and DIY customers across the Munster region for several decades.
Seeking an experienced Sales Development Manager to support growth across the region. This is a key role focused on generating new business, strengthening existing relationships, and driving market presence within the construction supply sector. The successful candidate will have solid industry knowledge, a consultative approach to selling, and the ability to develop strong partnerships within the trade community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver regional sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with builders, contractors, developers, and trade-focused customers.
- Proactively manage an existing client portfolio to maintain satisfaction, foster repeat business, and ensure loyalty.
- Collaborate with internal commercial and branch teams to support pricing, product availability, delivery requirements, and order fulfilment.
- Produce regular performance reports and updates for management.
- This role requires daily access to a designated branch within the region and attendance at a weekly management meeting onsite.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven background in field sales or business development within the construction, building materials, or related trade supply sector.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate and close deals.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across multiple customer types.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of managing a schedule independently.
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Full, clean driving licence required.
