Fleet Supervisor
CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Fleet Supervisor (E011 Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.
· Pay Rate - £14.93 per/hr
· Location – DfC, HED Heritage State Care Moira
· Benefits – 37 days holiday per annum
· Hours – 37 hours per week
Responsibilities will include:
The HED Fleet Foreperson will be expected to manage the HED Fleet maintenance and repair
on a daily basis in support of overall branch objectives. The main duties and responsibilities
of the postholder will include:
· Day to day management of Fleet, plant and machinery maintenance across approximately 10 depot locations and on sites across the 187 State Care Monuments.
· Operational decision making in relation to prioritisation of repair/maintenance to meet operational business targets.
· Work with senior management to agree and implement Divisional and Branch objectives. This will include assisting with production of specifications for replacement fleet/plant and equipment.
· Develop a servicing schedule and PSV plan for all vehicles and plant. Using this to send out monthly servicing/PSV lists and key dates to operational staff
· Provide plan for recovery of broken-down vehicles and replacement fleet to ensure service continuity.

· Contribute to their unit’s budget management and ensure Departmental and NICS procedures are followed in the procurement of good and services.
· Where required overseeing external contracts for servicing and repair of fleet/plant items.
· Ensure fleet units’ adherence to all required Health & Safety Regulations & compliance with the relevant training and recording keeping.
· Carry out condition reports on fleet/plant items, resolve outstanding issues via contractor or local repair as required.
· Update assets register to show accurate recording of current fleet value.
· Complete asset disposal policy for end-of-life fleet/plant & equipment.
· Drive departmental vehicles, including transport of colleagues and materials.
· Attend training as required.
Essential Experience/Qualifications
· Five years’ experience fleet and servicing industry.
AND
· Possess a CE driving licence to enable the post holder to drive in Northern Ireland
