Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Group Financial Controller to oversee a large, multi-entity finance function and act as a key strategic partner to the CFO. This is a senior leadership role suited to a highly experienced, qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and commercially driven environment.
Operating directly beneath the CFO, the successful candidate will lead a talented finance team, manage complex reporting requirements, drive system transformation, and contribute to high-value decision‑making across the group.

Key Responsibilities
1. Management Reporting & Financial Analysis
- Lead monthly management accounts and consolidated group reporting.
- Produce cashflow forecasts and treasury reporting.
- Support investment and commercial decisions through modelling and analysis.
- Deliver ad hoc financial insights for acquisitions and strategic initiatives.
2. Statutory Reporting
- Oversee annual financial statements across all entities.
- Manage statutory audits.
3. Tax Compliance & Planning
- Manage corporation tax filings, VAT, payroll taxes, and R&D claims.
- Coordinate with tax advisors and authorities.
4. Systems, Processes & Controls
- Own the group accounting system and drive transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Implement automation and process improvements.
- Integrate third‑party tools to enhance financial operations.
5. Treasury & Banking
- Oversee treasury operations including payments, cash positioning, and funding.
- Maintain banking relationships and covenant reporting.
- Support various financing arrangements.
6. Legal & Commercial Support
- Provide financial input into commercial transactions and contracts.
- Support litigation‑related financial documentation.
- Assess financial viability of third parties.
7. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop AP, AR, payroll, and management accounting teams.
- Act as main contact for auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and controls.
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Strong multi‑entity group experience.
- Excellent technical accounting and Irish tax knowledge.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, commercially oriented environment.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical, proactive, and commercially minded.
