HGV Driver

Flexsource NI is currently recruiting for a HGV driver on a temporary full time basis with a salary of £14.07 per hour.

Responsibilities:

·        Undertake a range of street cleansing duties, including sweeping, litter removal, weed clearance, and emptying litter bins as part of a mechanised or manual team.

·        Lead and support the assigned crew, reporting any public safety or environmental issues within the council’s responsibility.

·        Carry out refuse and recycling collection tasks when required, handling a variety of waste containers (sacks, wheelie bins, paladin bins).

·        Operate Category C1 vehicles and associated equipment safely, including communication systems, in line with legislation and council procedures.

·        Perform ancillary duties when not driving and complete all required documentation accurately.

·        Act as depot keyholder, operating alarm systems and reporting incidents as necessary.

·        Work in compliance with all health, safety, and council policies, including confidentiality and codes of conduct.

·        Participate in training, work overtime or public holiday shifts when required, and contribute positively to the council’s reputation.

Requirements:

·        A valid category C1 driving licence

·        Category C1+E driving licence is desirable

·        Current Drivers CPC

·        At least 1 years experience in driving a HGV in a commercial environment
